Systemic leaders work from their head and their heart

“In my work, I regularly deal with systemically complex tasks, both in the social domain as well as within my organisation. For about 15 years, I have been fascinated by the systemic way of looking at things. During the course of this, I saw the opportunity to bring together my acquired knowledge and experience and make them more concrete in my leadership and the change assignments of my organisation.

The Systemic Business Leadership course takes you through various system dynamics within organisations. Step by step, at precisely the right speed and level, you grow from theory to concrete action using your personal leadership skills. You gain insight into the systems at play within your organisation and the change issues. You will learn interventions and (as a bonus) gain insight into your pitfalls and the qualities of your own leadership. Hats off to the trainers; not only are they highly skilled and experienced, they also radiate warmth and enjoyment to the group.

One exercise with polarities in block 4 particularly struck me. Suddenly, I could feel that my own personal pattern coincided with patterns in my organisation. This brought insight and awareness, which almost automatically set change in motion in my organisation.”

“My interest in the Systemic Business Leadership course was sparked by both my personal and professional development. I wanted to better understand the principles of systemic leadership and learn how to apply them.

The course itself was very enjoyable and inspiring, partly thanks to the pleasant class and trainers. The level was absolutely appropriate, and the teaching days were carefully facilitated. My systemic skills have proven to be extremely valuable in discovering what is at play in my team and organisation. I can better understand difficult situations or behaviour that I find difficult to comprehend because I experience more room. Room to judge less, for example, and to observe phenomenologically. Or – a challenge for me – by slowing down. It is precisely by slowing down that you can speed up. But the skill of creating a timeline of the history of a situation is another thing that gives me and our team so much more insight.”

“I approached problems and their solutions mainly from the ‘blue side’. In other words: analysis, causes, intervention – solved. I noticed that this does not always work (sufficiently). At the same time, through my personal development, I became acquainted with (family) constellations. This felt like the combination I needed.

The Systemic Interim Management course covered all aspects of interim work, approached from a systemic perspective. The alternation between theory and practice, much of which was directly applicable, led by top trainers: it turned out to be exactly the addition I was looking for.

I noticed how different my approach had become when I later encountered ‘fuss’ with a colleague. What could have been a difficult conversation about solving ‘our’ problem turned into a wonderful conversation about patterns, origins and order. I was fully connected with myself, the situation and the other person. The atmosphere of the conversation had completely changed within the first 5 minutes, and for an hour it was full of energy, exchange, recognition, connection and… perspective for action. Pretty much the entire course in an hour, you might say :-). Everything fell into place for both of us.”

“I wanted to use my role as an interim manager in a more systemically conscious and therefore more effective way, both for myself and for my client. The fact that this course is specifically aimed at interim work, rather than working in a systemic way within an organisation in general, really adds something extra.

The course was enriching. I have become even more aware of the systemic dynamics of interim work and my own strengths and weaknesses concerning this.
